RATES of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease are alarming, with cases detectable in one in five young people in the UK. The term covers a spectrum of disorders characterised by a build-up of fatty cells in the liver. According to a new body of research, marine algae may be key to preventing these disorders from causing damage to the body.
