What is the rarest zodiac sign on the planet?

While all zodiac signs possess their own unique set of blessings and banes, only one among them can claim to be the rarest. Coming in hot and hard to find is Cardinal Earth sign Capricorn.

Rarest zodiac sign: Capricorn

Why so few sea goats? The reasons for this rarity come down to breeding and birthing. Among the least common birthdays, according to the New York Times, are Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and the days that surround them, which all fall under the banner of Capricorn.

Add to this the fact that January, the bulk of which is taken up by Capricorn season, is the least active birth month and you’ve got a reasonable guess at the rarest zodiac sign known to man and stars.

Rightfully embittered by having to share a birthday season with that scene stealing manger monger Jesus Christ, it’s high time Capricorn got the chance to feel special. Perhaps it’s because they have to split billing with the holidays that this ilk is hardscrabble and hell-bent on success and superiority. They work best when they’re working against something and the end result, though often a long time coming, is always worth the wait.

Jesus Christ superstar indeed. The son of God is the most famous Capricorn on the planet.

Most common zodiac sign: Virgo

Though Capricorns are scarce, the holiday season they encompass makes for copious copulation. The combined effect of plummeting temperatures, seasonal stressors and the socially lubricating effects of eggnog lend to high rates of conception that correlate to a veritable baby boom come late summer. Most births in the US occur between July and September due to the phenomenon that “organisms have evolved strategies to reproduce at the time of year that will maximize their lifetime reproductive success.”

We’re all animals after all and giving birth when crops are plentiful, cold and flu season are relatively far off and the scourge of winter has yet to descend, translates to better chances for survival. This pragmatism is reflected in the modality of Virgo, the most common member of the zodiac. According to Time Magazine, nine out of 10 of the most common birthdays fall between Sept. 9 and Sept. 20, right in the punishing, perfectionist heart of Virgo season.

In general Virgos don’t get enough praise in childhood, dates in adolescence or acknowledgement for their efforts as adults so it comes as no surprise that they aren’t given distinction for their singularity in this rodeo either. Allow me to say, blessed be the Mutable Earth from which they spring, it is precisely because we have so many Virgos running around and running the show that the world continues to turn.

As a consolation prize for being common and in recognition of their ability to clean up a crime scene with exacting detail and internalize guilt rather than express regret, Virgo gets my vote for most dangerous zodiac sign.
